Benjamin Netanyahu's personal poll ratings could decide the next election - and here are the trends.
For over a decade, Netanyahu has become the decisive factor for many or even most voters in Israeli elections - do they want him to form and lead the next government, or do they want him out?
Blurb from my Haaretz column earlier this week: “The prime minister's popularity has recouped from the dip that followed October 7, but Benjamin Netanyahu's political future is hanging on marginal shifts among voters the opposition could still woo.”
Bottom line: “Ultimately, if Netanyahu needs to scrape up a few more points worth of voters committed to crowning him prime minister again – he'll be fighting the opposition for every single one. It's a close and open field.”
